First off, let me say a big thankyou for stopping by
I really appreciate it !
Way back in 1985 was my first real dealings in photography, I had a zoom lens & used it on a Pentax ME Super 35mm film. The camera was owned by my dad & I just borrowed it when needed. Oh the fun, having to wait for the rolls of film to be developed only to find out that all were out of focus !
Then 1988 I attended college on a 2 year photography course with my tutor ( Ross Ditchburn ) who later became our wedding photographer.
I set up my own darkroom within my home, with the smell of chemicals drifting throughout ! ……. my girlfriend was less than impressed.
A family of my own soon followed & marriage, also travelling around the country competing in Kickboxing tournaments for England. All this meant my photography took a back seat for a number of years.
So here I am with my family in the northwest of England , living in the digital era of cameras & all that it brings. With instant uploads and the ability to check a photo & delete straight away ! So the basics remain, but a learning curve on the technology side of things is ongoing !
I have had Sony, Nikon, Canon & now Panasonic ( micro four thirds) . So not what you would call "brand loyal" kind of guy. For me the completed image is just a very small part of why I love photography, as being outdoors usually away from the crowds is my " reset" time. This includes wild camping , walking & family days out. The whole process I find very relaxing, being out, taking the shot, processing the shot & finally printing off the finished copy.
I have a very understanding wife ( Andrea) and our two boys Nathan & Brandon , who have to constantly wait for me to set up the tripod, compose an image etc etc..... I usually get left behind !
Thankyou & take it easy
Are your images available to purchase ?
I can currently print up to A3 (297x420mm) size , using the professional Epson XP series photo printer. All images are shot in "Raw" ( unprocessed) format & in full resolution of 24mp usually with the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM ART lens. Then edited with Polarr Pro editing software. Each image usually takes around 15-20mins to edit , then the jpeg copy is ready to print. I keep all "RAW" images backed up with an external drive.
